Hey NYC… Are you ready to vote? Some Key Dates & Deadlines for 2025

November is next month (you probably realized that, lol). And Election day is November 4th this year. Are you registered to vote? Do you know your polling place? Mailing it in? If you’ve got these questions — rest easy — The New York Law Institute’s got answers (& links!) for you….

• October 25::The Board of Election must receive your voter registration application (via mail/in person/ or online) by this date….. If you are requesting early mail ballot or absentee ballot, the Board of Elections must receive your application via online portal, email, fax, or mail by this date. • Oct. 25- Nov. 3: Early Voting: Find your early voting location & sample ballot by clicking here..

• Nov. 3: last day to apply in person at the Board of Elections for an early mail or absentee ballot.

• Nov. 4: Election Day — Polls are open from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Click here to find your polling place. Early mail/absentee ballots must be postmarked no later than November 4th to be valid.
